”That’s right! I remember your Mom telling me about you being put on as a Proctor,” she smiled. She couldn’t help but feel a bit of pride over the young man, “that’s a big honor, Honou-kun. You must be very proud. I know I am. Your skills have certainly grown since you used to beg to play Ninja at the park, ne?” She giggled as she ruffled his hair.
Honou felt light-hearted from her comments, even though he believed he hasn’t quite improved in terms of skills. It was almost humbling to hear those words from Konoha’s strongest mednin. Scratching the back of his head, he chuckled slightly to let out some of the nervousness he’s been bottling up inside.
”T-thanks…a-although, I haven’t really quite improve…“ He also wanted to tell her he became a proctor because everyone else was busy, and he seemed to be the most appropriate choice.
